Inspection and Maintenance – TEST

Terraocean was awarded a three-year contract to provide above and underwater water inspection services on a wind farm off Scotland’s Northeast coast The scope of work comprises above water structural inspection including weld, coatings, electrical and statutory inspections, which are carried out using drones and by rope access technicians.

Underwater inspection is carried out from a vessel using an ROV equipped to carry out a detailed visual inspection, cathodic protection system performance measurements and marine growth measurement.

The inspection covers the jacket structure, j-tubes, anodes and cable protection systems. The vessel is also equipped with a multi-beam echo sounder and sidescan sonar to survey the topography along the inter-array and export cable routes, while the beach landing areas is surveyed using a drone mounted LiDAR and a magnetometer sled.

Maintenance technicians are deployed to rectify any anomalies found during the inspection campaign.
